This can be easily tested with the “Crafters Crafting Crafters” vanilla advancement which uses this trigger. If you put a chest, barrel, or any container in front of the crafter when crafting a crafter, the resulting crafter will be transferred to that container and you won’t receive the advancement. You’ll only receive it if the resulting crafter is spitted out to the outside world.
How to reproduce:
Place a crafter.
Place a chest in front of its output side.
Place a button on the crafter.
Insert one log into the crafter’s crafting grid.
Press the button.
-> ❌ You don’t get the “Crafters Crafting Crafters” advancement.
Expected result:
The crafter_recipe_crafted advancement trigger would trigger when a crafter crafts a recipe and outputs the items into a container.
Observed result:
The crafter_recipe_crafted advancement trigger does not trigger when a crafter crafts a recipe and outputs the items into a container.
