Parched is a newly added skeleton variant, but my testing revealed two bugs:
First Bug:
The Parched's bare-handed attack is ineffective.
Initially, spawning a Parched in Creative mode and attacking it bare-handed works fine.
In Survival mode, attacking it works at first. But when it starts shooting and moving back and forth while drawing its bow, my attacks stop registering. Switching to Creative mode and attacking bare-handed also has no effect. Finally, attacking with a weapon does work, and the same behavior occurs in Survival mode.
Second Bug:
When the Parched draws its bow, its legs begin "ghost-walking" (the legs don't move). In Creative mode, it also exhibits this ghost-walking behavior for a short period.
Besides this, other skeleton variants also exhibit similar behavior.
Environment
*First Bug Steps:*
1. First, spawn a Parched, or find a naturally generated one in a desert.
2. Switch to Survival mode and let it shoot at you.
3. Try to strafe and attack it bare-handed. You will find that even at very close range, you cannot hit it—there is no reaction at all.
4. Switching back to Creative mode and attacking bare-handed yields the same result.
5. Using a weapon to attack it does trigger a reaction, both in Survival and Creative modes. This issue does not affect other mobs and is specific to players.
*Second Bug Steps:*
1. Spawn a skeleton and switch to Survival mode.
2. Let the Parched shoot at the player, and you will observe its "ghost-walking" movement (legs not moving while sliding).
3. Switching to Creative mode completes the reproduction of this bug. This also occurs with other hostile mobs like iron golems, snow golems, villagers, and wolves.
4. These two issues conclude the report.
