Summon a zombie horse (NoAI:True) (so it doesn’t wander off, probably not actually required)
/item replace entity @n[type=zombie_horse] saddle with saddle
Nothing will happen. I expect that a saddle will be placed on the horse.
/data modify entity @n[type=zombie_horse] equipment set value {saddle: {id:saddle}}
A saddle will be on the zombie horse
I expect both these commands to work the same. I also have noticed that
/item replace entity @n[type=zombie_horse] saddle with air
will remove the saddle from the zombie horse, even though the command can’t put a saddle on it
You can repeat all this with a skeleton horse instead of a zombie horse with the same problem.
