On Fedora 43, Pipewire audio used to work without issue. Suddenly, it stopped working. I did not update Minecraft, nor the launcher, nor any relevant system library before and after it stopped working. Using ALSOFT_DRIVERS=pulse is a workaround to the issue.
Attached are the ALSOFT_LOGLEVEL=4 logs for pipewire and pulseaudio, with the same host setup. Interestingly, the pulseaudio logs show that it is continuously picking up my output device (Got deviceโฆ), for no particular reason. Also the selected buffers size seem to be quite different (512 / 512 in pipewire vs. 960 / 2880 in pulseaudio). When the pipewire backend is running, I do see the stream in pavucontrol, but the audio meter never moves, so it appears that the audio context is setup correctly, but simply no sound is generated.
