Bug description: the shading does not use cube rotation, so an element with a rotation of 0 and with a rotation of 45 degrees will have the same face shading.
Examples:
Resource Pack with two models is attached to the bug report.
The first model rotates the elements closer to the sides (42.5 degrees).
The second model rotates the elements closer to the upper face (42.5 degrees).
Expected behavior:
Rotated elements have an average shade between the upper and side faces
Current behavior:
Rotated elements have the same shade as a element without rotation.
Repetition steps:
Download and enable the attached Resource Pack;
Run the command to summon the item_display with the first model:
/summon item_display ~ ~ ~ {item:{id:"stick",components:{"item_model":"test_model_shading:test1"}}};Run the command to summon the item_display with the second model:
/summon item_display ~ ~ ~ {item:{id:"stick",components:{"item_model":"test_model_shading:test2"}}};Compare the shading of elements whose difference is 5 degrees.
Environment
