Messed-up chunk borders in 1.21.11

Hello there, I am on a Framework 13 laptop running Bazzite Linux with 32GB of RAM, a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and a Radeon 890m. I noticed while playing on 1.21.11 and turning on chunk borders ('F3+G'), they render improperly for some reason. I checked this on both ATLauncher and Prism Launcher with different Mesa versions shown in the screenshots below, and I am hoping it is not just me. Even worse is with certain shaders using Iris and Sodium, as the chunk borders will actually mess them up and it will go back to normal when I turn it off, as I reported in the Iris GitHub here. Hopefully, this will be fixed in the next update…

(first three screenshots are with Prism Launcher, last four are with ATLauncher)

Here is a log from ATLauncher on a vanilla instance with only the FOV being changed to ‘Quake Pro’: https://paste.atlauncher.com/view/40e79f03-ba60-40fd-91a4-c7d41fdceddc

Still happens in 26.1 Snapshot 1.

Unfortunately, I tested both 1.21.11 and 26.1 Snapshot 1 with the vanilla MC launcher and the exact same issue persists. Here are the logs, taken straight from the MC launcher. Hope it helps:

I usually use Prism Launcher as well, but checked with the vanilla minecraft launcher and get the problem there as well. Oldest version that has the issue is 25w41a (first snapshot after 1.21.10 release). Steps to reproduce: start a new world, hit F3+G to display chunk borders. Extra thick dark blue borders of the current 16x16x16 can be seen through the ground/walls/ceiling.

Hmm, Conrad, what are your specs? It’s good to see it’s not just me. And unfortunately, this also happens on 26.1 Snapshot 3 :(

I’m running Nobara Linux 43 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition) on an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 CPU with 16GB of RAM, and a Radeon RX 6600 with 8GB of video memory running Mesa 25.3.3. My kernel is Linux 6.18.3-201.nobara.fc43.x86_64, and while I usually use Prism Launcher, for testing purposes I was using the vanilla minecraft launcher v.3.26.6-2.5.2
