[MC-3052] Sound Glitch

While hitting a dirt block, I noticed it made a sound similar to breaking wood. Not sure if this is just the new breaking sound. Might be worth checking out.

Cannot reproduce.
Maybe there are some soundfiles glitched.
Please try the following:

Delete the folder ./minecraft/resources/
Start the game
Wait several minutes, the sounds are downloaded again

Did you try my procedure ?

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
