Untamed Fox sits in the same place forever

I have this fox that just sits in the same place for days, weeks. It seems tame, but never ever moves except to turn & face me. Every morning I look over & there it is. I have not bred any foxes here to create a tame offspring. I did feed one a berry once when it was stuck in my base. On occasion, I find it in a new location, always closeish to the base like within 40 blocks. It always has a blue egg in it’s mouth, I have a small chicken coop & it’s in the Taiga village 560/400 -452885450798790032
