No Horses!

Using the new launcher, and an older map created in 1.3 or 1.4, I don't get horses. Any ideas? I play in Suvival-peaceful mode.

I dont want to give up my old map. Too much invested in it..

are you in 1.6.2 or snap shot and have you gone to new terain in those maps? Horses will only spawn in new terrain generated after 1.6 (i.e. go to new chuncks in those maps and it'll work.)
