The IME pre-edit window displays incorrect characters when using the Windows emoji keyboard

Using emoji keyboard on Windows (Win+.) shows IME preview, but it shows only first entered emoji right. Every other emoji is a repeated first emoji. Also cursor of the IME stays in the first position.

How to replicate: Set focus on any text field, start emoji keyboard by Win+. and start typing emojis.

Expected result: IME shows every typed emoji and cursor stays at the end OR emojis are typed directly in the text field without IME preview.

Actual result: IME shows first emoji and repeats it, cursor stays at the first position of IME preview.

Emoji previews seem to be working right now, but the cursor still doesn’t work properly.

Typing emojis with emoji keyboard on Windows 10

In most applications (Notepad, browsers, etc.), using emoji keyboard types emojis directly into the text field, similar to how typing emojis works with the touch keyboard (video below). But typing with emoji keyboard in Minecraft shows IME panel.

Typing emojis with touch keyboard on Windows 10

The keyboard is Windows 10 emoji keyboard (included with Windows).

Changing the keyboard language does not seem to affect this behavior in any way. It was tested with English (USA), Russian and Japanese (Microsoft IME). In the video language was set to English (USA)
