I was holding a lead and I switched to a single piece of wool in my hand and then I place the lead onto the fence. This made the wool completely vanish and I could not find a trace of it anywhere. When I tried to replicate the disappearance, I had 2 leaf litter in my hand. After placing the lead onto the fence , it appeared as though I only had one leaf litter. Until I tried to use the item, where the second piece reappeared in my inventory (specifically in the same stack of leaf litter I had been carrying). Just to clarify, the lead attached to the fence perfectly fine, it was just the other item that I had been holding that was affected.
To recreate it:
1- Animal on a lead held in hand (I was using a rabbit)
2- While still holding the lead in the same hand switch to a single block (let’s say wool)
3- Attempt to place the lead onto a fence while hold that wool and the wool should disappear
4- If it is two or more of the wool blocks that are being held when you try to attach the lead to the fence then it should disappear for a moment until you try placing the other dirt in your hand, and then it should reappear again
It would be expected to maintain all of my inventory and not accidently delete items while placing leads. Currently it does seem like the items will disappear and on occasion be completely lost to the player.
