Pillagers spawning too frequently

Pillagers have been spawning almost every single day in my Minecraft world. after I kill a group another spawns in few minutes. I tried to ignore a group for a while hoping it would de-spawn but after playing for a few Minecraft days they never de-spawned, instead another group spawned. I’m tired of having my world overrun with pillagers. Currently I have 2 different groups of pillagers. Is this a bug with 1.26?
