In spectator mode, moving sideways into a lava source from a block causes decrease in FOV.

Here’s the easiest way to replicate: Enter spectator mode and head down to around y=-60’s where there are lava lakes, when your head is inside a solid block next to a source block, move into the lava source and see the change in FOV.
