Quick note: this is an issue that (as far as I know) has existed in Minecraft forever. I have confirmed it present in the latest version of Java Edition and in the latest snapshot (26.2 snapshot 2) but I did not select that because the issue did not arise in that version. It even appears in all official and community promotional materials. I am completely shocked that this issue has never been reported before.
The hind legs of the pigβs model are offset by 2 pixels backwards (see images). For ever other mob in the game, the legs are either offset inwards (cow, sheep, llama, wolf, cat, etc.) or flush with the front/back of the model (horse, donkey, etc.). The pigβs front legs are offset by 1 pixel inward (expected) but the back legs are offset by 1 pixel outwards, making them 2 pixels offset from the expected position.
I find it very unlikely that this intentional, especially since real life pigs donβt have anything special with their hind legs that would warrant this.

New note: another reason why I believe this isnβt intentional is because the new Tiny Takeover baby pigs have their hind legs flush with the sides of the body.
