Placing blocks adjacent to sulfur cubes sometimes doesn't produce sound and animation of block placement

Bug description:

Placing blocks adjacent to sulfur cubes sometimes doesn't produce sound and animation of block placement. Affects snapshot 26.2 Snapshot 2+ currently

How to reproduce the bug:

What I found easiest to reproduce the bug is to have a solid corner, have two sulfur cubes with high resistance blocks, like honeycomb, smash on in the corner, smash the other into it so that it goes away from the cornered cube along the wall (you may need to push it if it also goes into the corner). As it’s moving along the wall, or beforehand, place a solid block 2 blocks away from the corner as shown. The moving sulfur cube must land in the corner.
After it has stopped moving and both are now in their own corners, the block you just placed that blocked the second sulfur can be broken and placed back repeatedly and freely, but the placing sound and animation are missing. The breaking sound and animation still work as intended however.

What is expected:

The block placement should have the normal sound effect and hand animation playing, or maybe what is meant to happen is that the block shouldn’t be able to be placed in the first place.

What happens:

Lack of sound and animation. And also I forgot to mention but it doesn’t show up in closed-captions either.
