Infinite Obsidian using lava bucket

I was playing Minecraft as I usually do, when I went to get a lava bucket. I then found water and I spammed the lava bucket down and picked it up. I lost the lava in the bucket, but when I interacted with the water again, it instantly made obsidian until the lava eventually comes back. You can then do this again and it makes and infinite obsidian source.
