Using score as component in custom name of entities doesnt work

When /data is used to set a new custom name for an entity, using a scoreboard score in the json text, the resulting nametag is empty

Example

data merge entity @s {CustomName:{"score":{"name":"@s","objective":"test"}}}

If the entity running the command has a score of 5 in the objective “test”, the expected nametag should be displaying “5“. Instead its empty.

I only ran into this when using Custom Names. For example, using it in a tellraw command worked correctly.

tellraw @a {"score":{"name":"@s","objective":"test"}}
