upon opening a world when you go to break a block the game stutters heavily
even upon releasing the mouse button or pressing escape it still does this
does not happen in a non snapshot world

Can you provide logs and crash dumps? You can find them at %appdata%\.minecraft
Could you please include details about your device and system specifications (RAM, CPU, GPU)?

I’ve tested this (26.2 Snapshot 4)
Even after creating a world, closing it and reopening it, this problem doesn’t appear.
I believe it’s a device issue.
