The new geysers, when erupting, do not emit a game event. Thus, they cannot be detected by Skulk Sensors, even though it is reasonable to expect to be able to do so.
While I realise this may be considered a feature suggestion, I was encouraged by others to post it as a bug anyway as I believe it’s an oversight and an inconsistency with a new feature in the game.
They should probably emit an event with the same vibration frequency as explosions, that being 15.
Steps to reproduce:
Find a geyser, or create one by placing a Potent Sulfur block above a Magma Block underwater.
Place a Skulk Sensor nearby
Without doing anything else that triggers a vibration, simply wait for the geyser to erupt
Expected result: The Skulk Sensor is activated, giving off a redstone signal
Actual result: The Skulk Sensor is not activated, despite an explosion-like noise occurring nearby that would realistically trigger a vibration
