Blue Stained Clay is named for a purple stained clay block. I'm believing this would be a mis-name with the block. If you look in the picture, I've put a sign above the apparent blue stained clay and the regular blue wool.

This is not a misnamed, that is the color you get when you combine the color of the stained clay and blue dye.
