After the new snapshot, sulfur caves stopped spawning under oceans and mountains, which made them very rare and small, and also made geysers rare because they don't always spawn above sulfur caves

This is not a bug. From the changelog:
The Sulfur Caves biome is less likely to generate underneath Oceans, Hills or Mountains
