The new Vulkan rendering backend throws an exception because the window resizes itself upon creation, and then hard-crashes because it can’t “enumerate surface present modes”. Doesn’t really make much sense to me because all the other Vulkan applications I have ran on this pc over the years don’t seem to have this issue. The browser I am using to type this issue on managed to find surface present modes just fine.
The log from 00.25 is with Xwayland, the log from 00.33 is when running with the wayland flags. Both backends crash like this.
To reproduce the issue:
1. Launch Minecraft
2. Observe
Expected result: Minecraft launches
Actual result: Minecraft doesn’t launch, throws a silly unhelpful error message in logs
Environment
Linux 7.0.3, Nvidia drivers 595.71.05, RTX 3060,
