Sulfur cubes' attraction range is significantly shorter compared to Bedrock Edition

Sulfur cubes in Java Edition are attracted to players holding items or item entities only within a Chebyshev distance of 8 blocks, whereas in Bedrock Edition, the attraction range extends to a Chebyshev distance of 16 blocks. This creates a notable parity inconsistency between the two versions.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Spawn a sulfur cube in Java Edition.

  2. Hold an item that attracts sulfur cubes and position yourself exactly 16 blocks away from the sulfur cube.

  3. Observe whether the sulfur cube moves toward the player.

  4. Repeat the test at a distance of 8 blocks in Java Edition.

  5. Repeat steps 1-4 in Bedrock Edition for comparison.

Observed Result:
In Java Edition, the sulfur cube does not respond or move toward the player at a distance of 16 blocks. It only begins to be attracted when the distance is reduced to 8 blocks or less. In Bedrock Edition, the sulfur cube is successfully attracted from 16 blocks away.

Expected Result:
Sulfur cubes in Java Edition should be attracted to players holding items or item entities from a Chebyshev distance of up to 16 blocks, matching the behavior in Bedrock Edition.
