Sugarcanes can be planted in the water

In Minecraft Java Edition 26.2, there is a bug. I don’t know if this is a bug or a “feature”.

Description:

When I play in survival mode, I’d like to plant some sugarcanes. When I click with my mouse, I plant them in the water. Maybe this bug is a skill for planting sugarcanes.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new world.

2. Dig a 7x7 hole.

3. Dig a 3x3 hole in the middle of the big hole.

4. Fill the hole with water.

5. Plant sugarcanes near the big hole. (Tips: The block under the sugarcanes should be grass block or sand)

6. Plant sugarcanes near the small hole. (Tips: The block under the sugarcanes should be grass block or sand)

Expected result:

The sugarcanes should not be planted in water.

Actual result:

The sugarcanes near the small hole were planted in the water.
