Leaving Fullscreen Ignores Windowed Dimensions

Entering fullscreen mode works fine (although it usually takes a few seconds). Leaving fullscreen mode, however, restores the window to the default dimensions, ignoring the previous windowed size/maximized state. Updating LWJGL to 2.9.0 did not fix this. Seems to be an issue at least as far back as 1.6 (maybe even older).
