When breaking an extended (powered) piston it makes the breaking sound twice (Likely one for the base and one for the extension). As shown in the attached video it works with both regular and sticky pistons when breaking the head or the base (Video slowed down to 5 ticks per second for clarity, less obvious but still noticeable in full speed).
