F3 stays on screen after quiting Minecraft World with F3 on

I was testing stuff out and then decided to save & quit without closing F3. It stayed on the menu screen and im surprised. Reproduction:

1. Create a world

2. Press F3

3. Save & Quit

4. Boom you reproduced the bug

I expect it to close it out. It doesnt happen on 26.2

It didnt close the f3. Seems helpful for devs to debug menu screen performance, potentially one of the devs forgot to toggle it off?
