Since 26.2, the “Accessibility Settings” and “Language” buttons on the Title Screen have tooltips that show their respective names. This makes sense as they are small buttons with just icons and no actual text, plus this makes them consistent with the Friends button. However, this behavior has crept into the onboarding screen that shows up when launching the game for the first time, and those buttons' tooltips also show for the buttons in this menu. Here though, the tooltips don’t really make much sense and are unnecessary, as the buttons are full-size and already have their respective text.
Steps to reproduce:
Open the onboarding screen. This can be done by:
-Launching the game without the options.txt file, e.g. in a new installation.
-Finding and replacing the line “onboardAccessibility:false“ with “onboardAccessibility:true“ in options.txt.
-Launching the game with the following JVM arguments added:-DMC_DEBUG_ENABLED -DMC_DEBUG_FORCE_ONBOARDING_SCREEN. (These enable the use of debug properties in the vanilla game, and make the onboarding screen always appear on game startup via one of these debug properties, respectively).Hover over the “Accessibility Settings...“ or “Language...“ buttons, or select them using the keyboard.
Observe whether tooltips appear or not.
Expected result:
Tooltips would not show in the onboarding screen, as all the buttons in this screen are full-size and feature the needed text.
Actual result:
Tooltips do show for the buttons in the onboarding screen that are also present and have tooltips on the Title Screen.
