Summary
Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 5 fails to launch during OpenGL initialization. The game exits before reaching the main menu because the native LWJGL OpenGL library (lwjgl_opengl.dll) cannot be loaded.
Environment
Operating System: Windows 11 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i5-14450HX @ 2.40 GHz
Memory: 24 GB DDR5 (5600 MT/s)
Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU (6 GB)
Intel UHD Graphics
Storage: 954 GB SSD
Architecture: x64
Working Version
Minecraft 26.2 launches successfully on the same system without any issues.
Affected Version
Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 5
Steps to Reproduce
Launch Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 5.
Wait for the game to initialize.
During OpenGL library loading, the game terminates.
Expected Result
The game should successfully load the LWJGL OpenGL native library and continue launching normally.
Actual Result
The launcher exits with the following error:
Why: Loading library OpenGL
Error:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
<AppData>\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\...\lwjgl_opengl.dll:
An Application Control policy has blocked this file
Exit code: -3
Additional Information
Minecraft 26.2 launches successfully using the same launcher, Java installation, and hardware.
No changes were made to the system configuration between testing 26.2 and 26.3 Snapshot 5.
The issue appears to be specific to the native OpenGL library bundled with 26.3 Snapshot 5.
This may indicate a regression related to the native library, its packaging, signing, extraction, or loading process.
Reproducibility
Always (100% on this system)
