Minecarts burn indefinitely when flooded with lava underwater

Short description of the issue:
When a minecart is placed underwater and comes into contact with lava, it catches fire and continues burning indefinitely. The fire status does not extinguish even after the lava source is removed or replaced by water blocks.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Locate or create a body of water (e.g., ocean or river).

  2. Place a Minecart on the seabed underwater.

  3. Pour lava directly onto or over the minecart.

  4. Allow the lava to turn into obsidian/stone or be replaced by water blocks.

Expected result:
The minecart should either be destroyed by the lava damage, or the fire should extinguish immediately due to being submerged in water.

Actual result:
The minecart stays permanently on fire without taking damage or breaking, retaining the visual fire animation under water.

Notes / Additional Info:
Interestingly, saving and quitting the world to the main menu and rejoining fixes the issue—the minecart is no longer on fire upon reloading. This suggests the fire status is only held temporarily in memory and is not written to the entity's NBT data.
