When a road is fully covered with redstone dust, and a single block is removed from the road surface to create a 1-block deep hole, then redstone dust is placed at the bottom of that hole (connecting to the surface redstone line), the player can sprint directly across the hole without falling in. This only occurs while sprinting; walking normally causes the player to fall into the hole as expected.
Steps to Reproduce:
Build a flat road and cover the entire surface with redstone dust.
Remove one block from the road surface to create a 1-block deep hole.
Place redstone dust at the bottom of the hole, ensuring it connects to the redstone dust on the surrounding surface.
Stand at one end and sprint toward the hole without jumping.
Observe that the player crosses over the hole successfully.
Repeat step 4 while walking (not sprinting) and observe that the player falls into the hole.
Observed Result:
The player can sprint across the 1-block deep hole when redstone dust is placed continuously across the surface and into the hole.
Expected Result:
The player should fall into the hole regardless of sprinting or walking.
