When rain particles fall on a block, they can appear to bleed through the corner of a roof. The formation which can reproduce this bug is seen in the attached video and in the reproduction instructions.
To reproduce this bug, place a two-block tall wall made of full, opaque blocks like an End portal (that is, without corners) on flat ground also made of full blocks, and a two-by-two square roof above the walls, but do not fill in the edges or corners.
Rain particles should not bleed through the roof in this formation, however, they do.
Possible cause: The game might be checking the center point of the rain particle for collision with and termination at the ground, but not the actual bounds or vertices of the particle. Since rain particles fall at random points on the block’s surface, some of them end up being near the corners, and appear to bleed through despite their center point still staying in that block.
I think this is a bug and not a feature because some rain particles clip weirdly with the block. Also, if the entire room you are standing in is completely dark, lighting for the particle is still bright.
Video: Most of it is just me flying to a biome which has regular rain, from the 15 second mark to the 1 minute mark.
Environment
The game is running with preference to Vulkan, however the bug has also been replicated in 26.1.2, so it can also occur when rendering with OpenGL.
