The /give command does not give you 92 (cake block) and 93,94 (comparator and repeater "on" state). I did check on MCedit where I placed cake blocks at varying arrangements (92:1,92:2 etc) and it turned up in minecraft so basically you cannot obtain the block

Working as intended.
The game now prevents the giving of the technical blocks to the player. You can still give you the corresponding items 354, 356 and 404.
I tried it, and can confirm. HOWEVER: "/give <playername> cake" does work. After reading the dev history it states : Block/item IDs can now be referred to with names instead of IDs. (since 13w37a)
