When the player is fully submerged underwater in first-person view, the item held in the offhand (tested with Totem of Undying) appears to shift horizontally from its normal position. This is a visual/rendering issue only; the item's functionality remains unaffected. The issue does not occur when the player is on land or only partially submerged.
Steps to reproduce:
Launch Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 Snapshot 8.
Create a new Creative world or load an existing one.
Place a Totem of Undying (or any other item) in the offhand slot.
Walk into water until the player model is completely submerged (the water overlay appears on screen).
Observe the offhand item's position on the screen and compare it to when on land.
Observed result:
The offhand item shifts horizontally (left or right) from its normal position as soon as the player is fully submerged. The offset remains consistent while underwater and returns to normal immediately upon surfacing.
Expected result:
The offhand item should remain in its fixed position on the screen regardless of whether the player is on land or underwater.
