Description
In Minecraft , sugar‑cane is supposed to only stay alive when placed next to a water source. After planting sugar cane beside water and then removing the nearby water source block, the sugar cane remains and can survive on land without any adjacent water.
Steps to Reproduce
Find or place a water source block on the ground.
Plant a sugar cane block on the dirt/sand block directly next to the water.
Remove or fill‑in the adjacent water source block.
Observe the state of the sugar‑cane.
Observed Result
The sugar cane stays intact and continues to exist on land with no nearby water source block.
Expected Result
After the adjacent water source is removed, the sugar cane should break and drop as an item.
