Pressing a button, then quickly replacing and re-pressing it, causes the 2nd button to release early

Pressing a button, then quickly breaking it, placing a new button of the same type on the same spot as the previous button, and pressing it all before the original button would have released, will cause it to release/lift/de-power much sooner than usual. I believe it releases at the same time as the original button would have.

This also applies to pressure plates, and possibly tripwires, though it's more difficult to notice.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Place an Oak Button on the ground.

  2. Press the button.

  3. In less than 30 ticks / 1.5 seconds, destroy the button, place a new Oak Button down on the same block, and press it.

  4. Notice how the new button will release sooner than it should.

It doesn't matter if the button changes orientations, or goes from a wall to a floor, as long as it occupies the same block as the first one. However, it must be the same type of button; you can't start with an Oak Button, and replace it with a Stone Button or one from another wood type.
