Dialog body sometimes has incorrect height when the body contains negative width spaces

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install the attached data pack and resource pack.

  2. Turn OFF “force unicode” font settings.

  3. Run /dialog show @s test:1.

  4. Click the text to show the “focused” indicator box.

  5. Repeat 3-4 with test:2, test:3 and test:4.

Expected Result

test:1 shows a simple message “abcde”.

test:2 and test:3 shows “abcde”, negative space cancelling the “abcde”, and a part of “abcde” in yellow.

test:4 shows “abcde”, negative space cancelling the “abcde”, and “abcde” again in yellow (fully covering the white “abcde”).

All dialogs show single line text. The focus box should all occupy 1 line.

Observed Result

  • The box in test:1 occupies 1 line ✅

  • The box in test:2 occupies 4 lines (shown in the attached image) ❌

  • The box in test:3 occupies 3 lines ❌

  • The box in test:4 occupies 1 line ✅
