Mouse cursor not captured when entering game on Linux in 26.3 making game unplayable

Issue when entering a world where the mouse cursor is not “captured” by the game meaning that the player can only “look around” so far as the cursor doesn’t reach the edge of their screen, making the game unplayable. I did not have this issue in 26.2 and have only experienced it in 26.3

Tested in a GNOME session, a Niri session, via gamescope -- each in fullscreen and windowed mode -- all yield the same behaviour. In case it is relevant, in windowed mode the player rotation immediately halts once the cursor leaves the confines of the window rather than the edge of the screen.

Only indicator I can see in the logs is Failed to create backend OpenGL regarding “renderpearl” and SDL, and some other for Failed to enable relative mouse mode: That operation is not supported. I have tried various attempts to fix and debug this myself, but haven’t been able to find an environmental fix on my end. I’ve attached the relevant log.

Environment

Linux distro: NixOS (wayland). Nvidia GPU. AMD CPU. Launching via "PrismLauncher" since I can't get the default minecraft launcher working on my machine.
