Cloud color seam at terrain edges that behind translucent layers with Improved Transparency

When Improved Transparency is enabled, if the terrain at the boundary of the rendering distance is obscured by multiple layers of translucent objects, a color discontinuity will occur between the clouds behind these terrains and the clouds in adjacent areas that are not obscured by the terrain.

How to reproduce

  1. Create a Superflat world with Creative mode; enable Allow Commands; disable Generate Structures; disable game rules Spawn mobs and Update weather.

  2. Set Render Distance to 2 Chunks and enable Improved Transparency; Set Clouds to Fancy.

  3. Use following commands:

    /tp @s -29.3 -60 0 -90 0
    /fill ~30 ~ ~-20 ~30 ~30 ~20 minecraft:stone
    /fill ~1 ~1 ~-1 ~1 ~2 ~1 minecraft:yellow_stained_glass
    /fill ~2 ~ ~-1 ~2 ~ ~1 minecraft:barrier
    /fill ~2 ~1 ~-2 ~2 ~2 ~-2 minecraft:barrier
    /fill ~2 ~1 ~2 ~2 ~2 ~2 minecraft:barrier
    /fill ~3 ~1 ~-1 ~3 ~2 ~1 minecraft:barrier
    /fill ~2 ~1 ~-1 ~2 ~2 ~1 minecraft:water

You will see a distinct color discontinuity in the clouds at the junction between the stone wall and the background. The higher the opacity of the transparent layer, or the more layers there are, the more pronounced the boundary becomes.
