Some error strings introduce the error message with a colon instead of surrounding it with single quotes, unlike similar strings

The Bug:

Some error strings introduce the error message with a colon instead of surrounding it with single quotes, unlike similar strings.

Other error strings surround the error message with single quotes, for example argument.component.invalid and argument.style.invalid, therefore introducing an inconsistency. Three of the strings below already surround the error message with single quotes but still put a colon before it. The same problem was fixed for other error strings in MC-311978 and MC-309924.

Affected String(s):

Before reading the table, please note the following:

  • Characters colored in GREEN are correct.

  • Characters colored in RED are incorrect.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Display any of the affected strings as listed above by using the command provided below and replacing "XYZ" with the string's translation key.

    /tellraw @s {"translate":"XYZ"}
  2. Look closely at how the message is presented within the string.

Observed Behavior:

The strings introduce the message with a colon.

Expected Behavior:

The strings would surround the message with single quotes, without a colon.
