When holding Shift and scrolling the mouse wheel, the selected hotbar slot moves two slots at a time instead of one.
This only happens while Shift is held. Normal scrolling works as expected.
Steps to reproduce:
Start Minecraft on Windows.
Join a world and select hotbar slot 1.
Make sure Mouse Wheel Sensitivity is set to 1.0.
Scroll the mouse wheel one notch at a time without holding Shift.
The selection moves normally: 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5.
Go back to slot 1, hold Shift, and scroll one notch at a time.
Expected result:
The selection should still move one slot at a time.
Actual result:
The selection skips every other slot:
1 -> 3 -> 5 -> 7 -> 9.
Additional information:
This also happens in a vanilla client with no mods installed.
I tested more than one mouse and got the same result.
26.3 Snapshot 3 works normally.
The issue starts in 26.3 Snapshot 4.
The issue is present in 26.3 and still occurs in 26.4 Snapshot 2.
Enabling Discrete Scrolling does not change the behavior.
Setting Mouse Wheel Sensitivity to 0.5 makes Shift + scrolling move one slot at a time, but normal scrolling then becomes too slow.
I tested the same behavior on macOS and could not reproduce the issue there.
Environment
Windows 10 Pro 22H2, 64-bit Vanilla Minecraft client, no mods.
