Category: Animations
Reproducibility: 100%
Steps to reproduce:
Create a fresh singleplayer Survival world in vanilla 26.3 with no mods, resource packs or shaders.
Hold a pickaxe in the main hand and any food (e.g. cooked beef) in the off-hand.
Face a stone block and hold left-click to mine.
While still holding left-click, also hold right-click to eat.
Expected result:
Eating animation plays smoothly alongside mining, or one input is cleanly ignored.
Actual result:
The first-person arm rapidly toggles between mining swing and eating animation every frame. This causes visible "stuttering" or "twitching" of the arm. Mining progress resets intermittently. The issue stops as soon as either mouse button is released.
Notes:
Reproduced in singleplayer only; no server involved. This is a client-side animation conflict, not a network issue.
Most obvious when both actions compete for the main hand; still observable with food in the off-hand.
F5 third-person view shows the off-hand arm snapping backward during the conflict (see attached video).
