In Minecraft 26.4 snapshots, Ice Crystals and Ice Stalagmites appear to have the same friction properties as ordinary blocks such as dirt, rather than behaving like ice. Players can walk across them without the expected ice-like movement, and boats do not exhibit the expected ice-like sliding behavior. Their movement and speed characteristics appear to match those of dirt rather than ice.
