Under certain circumstances, severe FPS drops occur for several seconds after starting a screen recording and resuming the game

On three occasions, I have encountered severe FPS drops after starting a screen recording and resuming the game. All 3 happened in the same world, but I cannot identify any specific conditions that would link this world to the problem (I’ve ruled out the presence of flaming arrows and of enchanted items). The recordings were made using the Apple Screenshot app (shift+cmd+5) in “Capture Selected Portion” mode, with “Include System Audio” enabled but “Show Mouse Clicks” disabled. I can no longer reproduce the issue even under seemingly identical conditions, but since it seems to be more than a fluke I figured I would make a report for it.

It is interesting that in frame drop 2.mp4, the crossbow I’m holding disappears from my hotbar– I did not initially notice this. I don’t remember dropping it, and if I had it would likely have been visible in frame drop 3.mp4, but the item later made its way to hotbar slot 3, so it’s possible that I somehow fatfingered Q and dropped it out of frame. It’s a crossbow with Multishot and Flame that was loaded in creative mode- further testing with this item produced no issues. Nothing of note was logged.
