Short description of the issue
Tamed cats don’t teleport to their owners if they are attacked when they are sitting, despite they are in active chunks and over 12 blocks away from their owners, which is inconsistent to how dogs/wolves behave.
If a tamed cat wasn’t sitting when it get hit, it would get panic but still teleport to the owner (when it’s over 12 block away from the owner). If a tamed wolf got hit while sitting (when it’s over 12 block away from the owner), it would teleport to its owner, indicating the cat issue is unintended.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Create a creative world in minecraft JE 26.3, spawn a cat and tame it with raw fish.
Right click the cat to order it to sit.
Point the crosshair at the cat, then type in the following command, then press tab to get the uuid of the cat. Example: a5c6c9d1-72fa-43e7-8031-dfe58d536bff
/data get entityUse the following command to ensure the cat dont die.
/effect give (uuid of the cat) minecraft:instant_health infiniteGet more than 12 blocks away from the cat(at which distance cat should teleport to the owner if standing), but let it stay in active chunks around you
Place a command block. Set its console command with the following command, settings: Inpulse,Unconditional,Needs Redstone
/damage (uuid of the cat) 1 minecraft:mob_attackthen use redstone to trigger the command block repeatedly (like 1 sec a time) to damage the cat. This step can be replaced with another player hitting the cat if you are playing multiplayer with server or lan.
Expected result
The tamed cat teleport to you (its owner) in panic state then sit down if the command block is turned off
Actual result
The cat don’t teleport to you even though it is standing, running, and in a active chunk.
Why is this bad
