Lagg when hitting players or mobs and attacking you*

You are going to have to post way more information than this. What are your system specs and java version? (goes in the environment section), does this occur on singleplayer or multiplayer?

There seems to be a slight delay when loading sounds that haven't played yet, and this happens often when attacking mobs for the first time, and is very annoying.
