[MC-32223] There is a strange small block on the top of item frames

The item frames have a strange small dark-brown block in the upper of them when dropped, but don't have it when placed in the wall. This is a bug.

No, but what is this small block?

To me it looks like the string you would use to hook the item frame up to the wall.
