Steps to reprocedure
1. Place a command block
2. But in a testfor command
3. See how it is a "unknown command".

You're seeing the output of the previously run command (therefore the text field is captioned with "Previous Output")
Fire the command block and after that you'll see the output of testfor

You've got to put a / before testfor

Try /testfor

/ is not necessary in command blocks.
