Doors don't load properly

I was walking around my world trying to make sure everything was loaded and when I went home I opened the door but couldn't get in. The door looked as though it was open and it made the noise that meant it was open but it was not letting me get thru. I tried this with other doors, Iron and wood and it randomly occurred. Also iron doors every now and then didn't respond to redstone signals.
