mobs dont get pushed by blocks on sticky pistons

when pushing a mob using a block on the end of a sticky piston the mob might not get pushed resulting in the mob taking suffocation dammage from the block. This was observed with a chain of pressure plates to pistons pushing blaze in a blaze xp farm on a server

I think this is the same as my issue, It happens to the player for me, and I only ever lose half a heart each time.

I am setting up a blaze farm where the blazes will be pushed around by pistons.

I have managed to reproduce the glitch in creative, single player, and will attach a screenshot of the setup.

1. stand to the right of the picture on the sandstone floor
2. face the piston and jump just onto the edge of the block with the pressure plate on it, but not on the pressure plate
3. then walk forward, the piston is activated, and pushes you back, you lose half a heart

it does not happen every time, but most times it does.

It seems to be that if you are walking towards a piston while it pushes you back, you suffocate.

noticed in 1.4.4, still in 1.4.5

EDIT: using windows 7 64-bit java version 7 update 7 (build 1.7.0_07-b11)

EDIT2: cant seem to attach a screen shot it just links me to the java website o_O

EDIT 3: Attached it as a file 😛

This is killing the productivity of my blaze farm. Most blazes get damaged on the way, but more importantly, about half of them are killed before they get to me. Please fix this.

just added pics of my set up i use. i am using glass here instead of nether brick to show the blaze better
